My name is Barry Aldous, I am a freelance jazz musician, playing clarinet alto & tenor saxophone with my own band the COTTON CITY Jazz Band and others in the Manchester area.  Having played jazz on a part-time basis for 50 years I have gained a great deal of experience, organising my own band and running a jazz club,  JAZZ at the GRANTS.  This experience is now applied to hosting this website and others for musician friends..  The site is intended to provide a source of information for those that perform, promote and listen to live jazz music in and around Manchester.  If you have any comments about the site or wish to contribute to its content, please don't hesitate to contact me - I look forward to hearing from you.
